According to Destination Hilliard, this year's Beggars' Night will take place on Tuesday, October 31, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Residents planning to participate in Beggars' Night should turn their porch lights on – and, of course, be prepared with plenty of treats.
Regardless of whether or not you plan to participate in Beggars' Night, please keep our neighborhood streets safe for trick-or-treaters by driving below the speed limit and keeping your eyes on the road.

Looking for a way to make Beggars' Night safe and fun for all our kids – including those with food allergies? Consider participating in the Teal Pumpkin Project.
Begun in 2014 by Food Allergy Research & Education (FARE), the Teal Pumpkin Project "provides an alternative [trick-or-treat experience] for kids with food allergies, as well as other children for whom candy is not an option, and keeps Halloween a fun, positive experience."1
Taking part in the Teal Pumpkin Project is easy: Just paint a pumpkin teal, put it on your front porch, and have a selection of non-food treats on hand.2 Participants who also plan to give away candy should remember to keep food and non-food items in separate bowls, to prevent cross-contamination.3

Thank you for making The Glen a great place to live!
