Here in The Glen, we've caught the spring cleaning bug!
Now is your chance to finally get around to those indoor/outdoor projects you’ve been avoiding this winter. Between April 11 and April 29, The Glen will officially be on a mission to beautify our neighborhood.
"Beautify The Glen"
We will kick off our “Beautify The Glen” initiative at our April 11 neighborhood meeting. This is a very special meeting, as we will have board elections and a guest speaker. We will also be giving two free yard bags to each householder who attends.
Additional bags will be provided to anyone who signs our "Beautify The Glen" pledge. The pledge will also be posted on our website and printed in our April newsletter.
Volunteers Needed
Given the magnitude of this project, we need volunteers for passing out flyers, cleaning out the flower beds by our Dublin Road signs, planting flowers, and much more. We also hope to help those neighbors who need an extra hand with their yard work due to age or health.
Entry Sign Cleanup
While cleaning up individual yards is our main goal, we can’t forget about our entryway signs. After all, we want to make the best impression we can when people enter our neighborhood.
On April 22, in tandem with Earth Day Columbus, we will be doing basic cleanup and yard maintenance on The Glen entry signs on Dublin Road. We also have plans to plant those very same flower beds in May. Please contact us if you are able to pitch in.
Spring Garage Sale
After we are done cleaning and doing maintenance on the outsides of our houses, we will focus on the insides.
The GCA Board will help you get rid of your unwanted items by holding our annual garage sale event – featuring individual garage sales plus a community fundraising garage sale and bake sale – on Saturday, April 29, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Stay tuned for more information.
Thank you for helping us "Beautify The Glen" this spring!
