Sign up for street sweeping notifications from the City of Columbus

We have an update to our post from April 12 regarding Columbus’s new street sweeping tool: You can also use it to sign up for automatic reminders of when our local streets are going to be swept.

According to Columbus City Council member Michael Stinziano’s April newsletter:

Curbed public streets are swept citywide. In many neighborhoods, permanent signs identify street sweeping parking restrictions. Vehicles not moved on sweeping days are impounded and towed at the owner’s expense.

“I have received numerous calls from residents frustrated about vehicles being towed or not knowing of street sweeping time periods,” said Councilmember Stinziano.

“As Chair of Council’s Technology Committee, I saw an opportunity to collaborate on a common sense notification system with Councilmember Hardin, the Department of Public Service and their street sweeping fleet.”

Here’s how to sign up for street sweeping notifications:

  1. Visit https://www.columbus.gov/publicservice/streets/Street-Sweeping/.
  2. Scroll down to “Street Sweeping Schedules and Reminders”, type in your street address, and click “Search”.
  3. Click “Get a Reminder”.
  4. Follow the prompts to sign up for reminders by email, phone, or both.
