LifeCare Alliance needs you to help central Ohio residents "Beat the Heat" this summer

A gray round floor fan.

It's hot outside. Really hot. You've probably noticed.

And if you're lucky, you can cool down just by heading indoors. But central air conditioning isn't accessible or affordable for many central Ohioans.

Now, thanks to LifeCare Alliance's "Beat the Heat Fan Campaign", there's something you can do to help local residents in need: Donate a new box fan.

LifeCare Alliance is asking for donations of new box fans to be dropped off at any Franklin County fire station. Fans can also be brought to the LifeCare Alliance facility on Harmon Avenue, which is open weekdays between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

Only new fans can be donated. Used fans are considered a safety hazard and will not be accepted.

LifeCare Alliance also needs volunteers to transport fans from county fire stations to the Harmon Avenue facility. Please contact LifeCare Alliance for more information on how to get involved.

If you or someone you know needs help obtaining a box fan, please call LifeCare Alliance's "fan hotline" at (614) 437-2870 for the fan distribution schedule.
