Columbus drivers must again move vehicles parked on city streets 75 feet every 72 hours

Has one of your vehicles been parked on the street in front of your house for more than three days – or since October?

It's time to move it.

As the Columbus Dispatch reports, beginning March 1 "Columbus will resume towing vehicles left on public streets for more than three days, after pausing enforcement of those violations last March due to COVID lockdowns and quarantines."

Per the Dispatch:

City code states that "any vehicle," regardless of its condition or status, that is left "parked, standing, or abandoned upon any street for longer than 72 consecutive hours without moving such vehicle at least 75 feet" is in violation. That makes the vehicle at risk for a $30 ticket and potentially being towed and impounded by police.

Violations of the rule can be reported to the 311 Service Center.
