In addition to distributing "Valentines for Vets" to patients at the Chalmers P. Wylie VA Medical Center, The Glen Civic Association would also like to hand out valentines to neighborhood veterans this Valentine's Day.
The collection box for these valentines will be on the front porch of 3744 Ravens Glen Drive until February 5. If you are still creating valentines for our neighborhood vets after February 5, please drop them off at 3179 Dunlavin Glen Road; the GCA will personally deliver them in our neighborhood.
If you know of anyone in The Glen/Highpoint community who is a veteran, please let us know their name and address so we can bring them a valentine. Send details to glencivicassociation@gmail.com. We understand we probably will not reach them all, but let's see what we can accomplish together!
A few tips:
- Do not include your email, mailing address, or last name on your valentines.
- Do not place valentines in envelopes.
- Do not include any political or religious messages.
- "Dear Hero" or "Dear Veteran" is the best way to address your valentines. We do not know the gender or service branch of the recipients.
Please see our January 2022 GCA Newsletter for tips and guidelines. Thank you for showing appreciation and support for our veterans this Valentine's Day.
