St. Patrick's Day 2017

Did you know...

St. Patrick's Day is celebrated on March 17 each year to honor St. Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland who brought Christiaity to the Emerald Isles. The day is a celebration of all things Irish – its history, traditions, culture, and customs.

“Erin Go Braugh” is probably the most common Irish saying you’ll hear on St. Patrick's Day. It means, “Ireland Forever!”

Interesting Fact: The first St. Patrick’s Parade did not occur in Ireland; it took place in New York City in 1762.

Fun Fact: Over 34 million Americans are of Irish descent. This is nine times more than the current population of Ireland.
