The Columbus Recreation & Parks Department is currently hiring lifeguards to staff its aquatics facilities during the upcoming summer pool season.

These part-time, seasonal positions involve supervising swimmers, watching for individuals in distress, and providing rescue services when necessary. Lifeguards are also expected to enforce the rules of the pool facility and maintain it by cleaning restrooms, water filters, and the pool itself.

Questions regarding lifeguard positions should be directed to John Gloyd, Aquatics Administrative Manager, at (614) 645-0156 or jwgloyd@columbus.gov.
