Summer ‘17 | Hit a hole-in-one at one of CRPD’s golf camps and tournaments

A header image announcing The Glen's Summer'17 series of articles.

Yesterday in Summer ‘17, we talked about the six golf courses managed by Columbus Recreation and Parks (CRPD). Give it a read if you haven't already.

In today’s post, we’re covering all the ways your kids can get in on the action this summer through CRPD’s golf camps, leagues, and tournaments.

On deck: Lessons and group play the "Scarlet and Grey" way. A camp to prepare your young golfer for school tryouts. And a special tournament designed especially for grandparents and their grandkids.

Let’s get started.

Sign the kids up for camp

SNAG

Starting New at Golf

Airport – June 3-24
Raymond Memorial –

Whether they’re beginners or battle-tested pros, your kids will pick up new skills at one of CRPD’s golf camps.

Give your novices an unintimidating introduction to the sport with SNAG (Starting New at Golf), a program for kids aged five to eight where everything they’ll need will be supplied on-site.

SNAG camps consist of four, 60-minute (10 a.m to 11 a.m.) Saturday classes and cost $35 per child. This year, CRPD is offering two SNAG sessions – the first at the Airport Golf Course between June 3 and June 24, the second at the Raymond Memorial Golf Course from August 5 to August 26.

There’s also Junior Learn to Golf, a free program for kids aged seven to 17 composed of three, 60-minute classes. Junior Learn to Golf is available at both the Champions and Raymond Memorial golf courses from June 13 to June 15. At Champions, classes begin at 9 a.m.; at Raymond Memorial, they start at 10 a.m.
